These days, sex is so common that it seems like…well everyone is doing it. Well, almost everyone. Sure, there are tons of everyday people who make the difficult decision to abstain from sex until marriage. Check out my article, I Am Worth the Wait.  However, there are also a handful of celebrities who have also walked the celibacy journey.  Read on to find out which stars have publicly discussed their celibacy.  .

I loved this video of The View star Sherri Shepard discussing her period of celibacy after divorce. In an interview with Niecy Nash, Shepard shared that she and her now-husband were celibate for 11 months of dating before marriage. Here is the link if you can’t see the video.

And Madamenoire reported that Sports Illustrated model Jessica White said the following,
“I made a vow to God [in 2010], after so many letdowns and the relationship with my ex, I knew I really didn’t want to continue making the same mistakes anymore. Women nowadays, we connect physically too soon without actually getting to know the person. If you don’t actually give this person your body and then they let you down, there really isn’t a great disappointment; not like it would be if you have already connected physically. I started going on that journey, and I thought to myself, you know what, the next man that I give my body to will be the man that God brought into my life.”

Actress Meagan Good and husband DeVon Franklin also were celibate during their courtship. Meagan told Life & Style magazine, “Our wedding night will be the first time we’re actually together.” She went on to say, “…he was willing to be celibate with me for a year.”

And at a event in Dallas, Texas, Franklin said,
“We want our marriage to be one of truth, one of love, and hopefully model God’s love. In reality we’re not perfect,” Franklin said while on the red carpet at the event. “But we are striving to live a life of Christ. We are striving to be an example of what his life looks like on this earth, and hopefully through our union people will be inspired, people will see themselves in us.” For more, see this article.
